There are a few Low Loss cables used for cell phone booster installations. Due to the allocated microwave frequency spectrum to Network Operators, and the dangers of high output power to humans and the environment, cables that perform well at these frequencies must be sourced or the installations will not give adequate coverage.

Low Loss cables specifically made for the 700MHz, 800MHz 900MHz, 1.8Ghz,2.1Ghz 2.6GHz, and 3.5GHz are required.

The longer the cable runs the more loss or attenuation is achieved. The options to overcome this are to use the thicker more expensive cable that has better attenuation qualities OR to re-amplify the signal with a bi-lateral line amplifier.

When installing in moderate to reasonably large homes or offices, cable runs of 40 meters are common. LWC400 or even LWC240 Low Loss cable can be used. As this can become complicated, we advise one of our qualified installers to do a site visit, takes measurements with proper measuring tools at the correct height, establishes what signal is available to amplify, and then supply you with a proposal.
