A site survey is done at the site. One MNO (mobile network operator measure resonable and the other poor cellular signal outdoors) This is the RSSI (the received signal strength from the Base Transmitting Station – BTS)

This gives an idea of the size of the home. It is a large Home.

Two 9dBi panel antenas, using a two way splitter, were used inside the ceiling, each point to opposite sides and in so doing giving coverage to the whole house. This is also cost effectivs as cabling does not have to be run the length of the  house. 

 

The outdoor LPDA antenna (this is not a Yagi ) is pointing between the two MNO  BTS” to receive the same RSSI from both stations. Please note that mast pole is at least 2 meters above the corrigated steel roof and that David has properly used staywires to support the antenna from strong winds.
